Jamstik & Strandberg Unveil New Hybrid MIDI Guitar at NAMM 2026

NAMM 2026 is officially underway, and we’re excited to share one of the biggest milestones in Jamstik’s journey yet.

This week at the show, Jamstik and Strandberg Guitars are debuting a brand-new collaboration: the .strandberg* x Jamstik Chameleon MIDI Guitar. It’s a premium hybrid instrument that brings expressive MIDI control directly into Strandberg’s world-class, ergonomic electric guitar platform—without sacrificing feel, tone, or playability.

A true hybrid: analog feel, modern control

The Chameleon MIDI Guitar delivers full analog electric guitar output alongside powerful MIDI functionality, allowing players to control software instruments, hardware synthesizers, and modern production tools from a single instrument. Whether you’re composing, producing, transcribing, or performing, it’s designed to move seamlessly between traditional guitar performance and digital music creation.

Connectivity options include USB-C for direct computer and DAW integration, TRS-MIDI for controlling hardware gear without a computer, and Bluetooth for wireless configuration and real-time adjustments via Jamstik’s companion software. Every detail is built to support modern creative workflows while still feeling unmistakably like a high-end guitar.

Built on Strandberg’s renowned design

Developed collaboratively by both teams, the instrument retains everything Strandberg is known for—exceptional balance, lightweight construction, and long-session comfort—making it equally at home on stage or in the studio. Visually, the guitar features a striking chameleon-style finish that subtly shifts between purple, green, and graphite tones depending on the light, underscoring its forward-looking design.

As our Senior Engineer Jonathan Keller puts it, the goal was simple: build an instrument where MIDI feels expressive, musical, and completely natural—something that supports modern workflows without getting in the way of playing.
