The MFC1 is a fully mappable MIDI controller that pairs with your Jamstik or any other MIDI keyboard or controller. Customize and map the buttons and knobs to do everything from changing Jamstik settings—like turning pitch bend on/off, swapping MIDI modes—to scrolling through presets, controlling your DAW, muting your MIDI, mapping MIDI CC messages to control MIDI software and hardware, and using and mapping a sustain or expression pedal.

Customize Onboard & with Jamstik Creator
Edit the profiles and functions of the MFC1 with onboard controls or the Jamstik Creator. Select from factory profiles for popular software/hardware control for your favorite DAW/synthesizer or create your own profile using premade actions and deep customization options to fine tune the behavior of the MFC-1 to fit your unique setup.
Yes! The MFC1 was built to work with the Jamstik Creator software (the same software you use to customize your Jamstik MIDI Guitar settings). Using Jamstik Creator allows you to save, import, and view Jamstik provided and your own custom presets for MFC1 profiles and action sets for the encoders, footswitches, and the pedal inputs. You can also use the MFC1 directly with the Jamstik Creator to control Jamstik Creator parameters such as preset switching and macro controls in addition to controlling any third party MIDI software/hardware with the MFC1’s MIDI CC, MIDI Program Change, MIDI note, and MMC transport controls. You can download the software here.
What types of MIDI messages can the MFC1 send?
The MFC1 supports USB MIDI In passthrough for the Jamstik MIDI Guitar or other MIDI devices, 5 Pin and USB MIDI out and has multiple programmable footswitches, rotary encoders, and inputs for expression or sustain pedals that can be mapped to control:
MIDI CC (Control Change commands to change synth parameters in a majority of hardware/software synthesizers and samplers)
MIDI Program Change (to change patches or presets in software and hardware)
MIDI Notes
MMC Transport Controls (play, stop, record, and loop the timeline in a DAW)
Jamstik Creator commands (to change macro values and switch presets in Jamstik Creator)
Does it work with my DAW?
Yes, the MFC1 can be used to control Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) and other music software that accepts MIDI input, allowing you to control loops, effects, or other parameters hands-free during your performance or recording sessions.
How do I program the MFC1?
Each footswitch, encoder, and pedal input can be programmed onboard for each profile using the editor interface on the MFC1 without needing to connect to any additional software. Onboard, you can map these inputs to MIDI notes, MIDI CC, MIDI Program Change, Jamstik Device Settings, and Jamstik Creator controls.
If you choose to connect the MFC1 to the included Jamstik Creator app on macOS or Windows, you can use the Jamstik Creator software to save, import, and view Jamstik provided and your own custom presets for MFC1 profiles and action sets for the encoders, footswitches, and the pedal inputs. You can download the software at https://jamstik.com/creator.
Profiles programmed to the MFC1 through the Jamstik Creator can be easily modified and changed onboard the MFC1 later without connection to Jamstik Creator for convenient editing whenever needed!
Does the MFC1 require external power?
The MFC1 can be powered via USB or with the included 9V power adapter. This dual power option provides flexibility depending on your setup. For best results, use the 9V power adapter when connecting a Jamstik MIDI Guitar or other MIDI device to the MFC1’s USB MIDI In port.
Is the MFC1 compatible with iOS or Android devices?
Note: The Jamstik Control App for iOS/Android does not currently support viewing or changing MFC parameters.
The MFC1 is compatible with any MIDI app on iOS or Android with the MFC1’s MIDI note feature and can control parameters or presets on any app that accepts MIDI CC (Control Change) or MIDI Program Change (MPC) inputs when connected over USB.
The MFC1 can be connected to iOS or Android with the included cable and a USB C to USB A adapter for most android phones and the new USB C iOS devices. Older iOS devices with a lightning cable may require the Apple Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter. The MFC1 may also require to be plugged into a wall outlet with the included power adapter when being used with select mobile devices that do not provide enough power to the MFC1 over USB.
How do expression/sustain pedals work with the MFC1?
The MFC1’s ¼” port supports both expression and sustain pedals, automatically detecting the pedal type. Once connected, the pedal becomes a fully programmable control source—letting you adjust Jamstik settings, send MIDI CC and Program Change messages, trigger notes, control DAW transport, or shape effects like volume and wah, depending on your setup.
