Record Real Time Tablature & Notation in Sibelius with the Jamstik

Looking to integrate the Jamstik MIDI guitar into your composition workflow?  Look no further than Sibelius from Avid Pro. With this powerful duo, you can seamlessly track guitar tablature in real-time!

Follow along belong for a quick step-by-step tutorial on how to set up the Jamstik for tracking tablature in Sibelius. 

Preparing the Jamstik's device settings

1. Using either the Jamstik Control or Creator software, open the Jamstik's device settings menu, then select Multi-channel MIDI mode and ensure the First MIDI Channel is set to 1.

*Optional: decrease string sensitivity to avoid unintentional triggers

Prepare settings in Sibelius

2. 
Create a new Score

In the Note input tab, select 'Input Devices'

 In the Input Devices menu, select the Jamstik and set it to "Guitar" 

*Note: select 'Find New Input Devices' if connected, but no device is detected.

5. In the appearance tab select "Tab Fingerings"

In the Note Input tab, select "Record" and start playing to recorded tablature and notation!
