Jamstik Producer Spotlight: Mason Sacks

Today, we have the honor of featuring Mason Sacks, an exceptionally talented guitarist, songwriter, and producer signed to Sony ATV, who utilizes the Jamstik MIDI guitar on a daily basis in his studio and songwriting sessions. 

After graduating from USC in 2018 with a degree in Studio Jazz Guitar and signing a publishing deal with Sony ATV, Mason has produced over 60+ major label releases and has worked with artists such as FKA Twigs, Epik High, Stephanie Poetri, Jackson Wang, Vory, Tate McRae, Mimi Webb, Kid Laroi, Lil Nas X, Justin Bieber, and more. He has also collaborated with an impressive array of creators such as Rodney Jerkins, Charlie Handsome, T Minus, Louis Bell, Carter Lang, and Ali Tamposi.

Mason's dedication to innovation and his pursuit of fresh musical ideas led him to discover the Jamstik MIDI guitar—seamlessly blending the familiarity of a traditional guitar with the limitless creative possibilities offered by MIDI technology. 

We sat down with Mason to gain a deeper insight into his creative process and learn how the Jamstik has influenced his production workflow.

Recent credits of Mason include: ‘The Highs’ by mike., which reached #52 on Billboard Hot 100 as well as #1 on Spotify US Debuts, ‘Ethereal’ by $NOT, which reached #66 on the Billboard Hot 100 as well as #2 on Spotify Global Debuts, ‘Toxic Boogaloo’ by City Morgue which reached #96 on Billboard Hot 100, as well as Masego’s ‘Extended Stay’ album which received a 2021 Grammy Nomination. Recently, Mason landed his first #1 album as a producer on Steve Aoki’s album Genesis, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard charts in the electronic genre and #28 sales overall on the Billboard charts.

Outside of traditional collaborations, Mason has had syncs that have played during the 2021 Olympics, on the series Shrill on Hulu, as well as the season finale of the TV show Empire.
